A question here for all my anglophone friends: I spend my whole life either speaking French as a foreign speaker, or listening to people speaking English as a foreign language, so I am quite immune to this and would like some fresh eyes on the topic.
If you're speaking to someone who is not a native speaker of English, what do you notice most? And supplementary question for the comments - is there anything that bothers you or makes communication difficult?
I am aware that this is a very general question and English levels can vary hugely, but I'm talking about people who are using English in their work, so we're not talking beginners here.
This is for a programme I'm writing, and I'd like participants to have an "outside view" of what people they're interacting with think.
Any extra comments and shares would be very helpful 😊
