An interesting look at why we get “Zoom fatigue”.
I think the article has missed some important things out: hosting any kind of training online takes a lot more energy as we have to work harder to give people the feeling and energy that comes from actually being in a room with them. (Heather Hansen 🌍 Global Communication Consultant thanks for your tips on this, I’ve just been watching your Facebook live.)
Also the act of focusing on a screen rather than a wider space tires us. Not just the blue light, but also the lack of peripheral vision - something I learnt from Bogdan Manta last week.
I’ve been trying to incorporate different ways of keeping energy levels up during my training sessions. I’ve found that I can feel energy from my participants even though we’re not together and it keeps me going. I’d be interested to know what my participants think!
