You might recognise this really annoying card reader for #Barclays online banking.
Today the online banking told me “Hey there’s a phone app and you don’t need the card reader anymore.”
Me: Great!
Installs app. But...
App: You need a UK phone number to use this app. Your number is not a UK number.
So I called Barclays customer service.
Customer service advisor: You need a UK phone number to register for the app. Except if you are a Barclays wealth customer.
Me: So are you saying I can only use the app with my French number if I am really rich?
Customer service advisor: Yes, that’s right. (I am not making this up, she actually said this.)
